European Wild Crabapple (Malus sylvestris) is a deciduous tree or large shrub native to Europe and Turkey. It produces green, yellow, or red crabapples with tart, high pectin flesh used for jelly, preserves, and juice.
White to pink spring flowers provide pollen for insects. Trees tolerate clay, loam, or sandy soil and can grow in sun or partial shade.
