Evans Cherry Seeds

Evans Cherry, also known as Bali, is a prairie sour cherry associated with an old orchard near Edmonton and later popularized by Dr. Ieuan Evans. The parent tree produces bright red sour cherries with the tart flavour prized for pies, baking and preserves.

We expect the seedlings to be broadly similar to Evans, with natural differences in fruit, growth and ripening between individual trees. Growing from seed carries this prairie cherry background into a varied new generation.
