Size

These sour cherry trees were grown from Evans, also known as Bali, a prairie favourite associated with an old orchard near Edmonton and later popularized by Dr. Ieuan Evans. The parent bears bright red sour cherries with the tart flavour valued for pies, baking and preserves.

We expect the seedlings to be broadly similar to Evans, with the natural variation that comes from growing trees from seed. They are a way to grow this prairie cherry background while allowing differences in fruit, growth and ripening among individual trees.
