Manchurian Apricot Seeds (Prunus mandshurica) - Cold Hardy Apricot Tree - (Zone 3) - 9 Seeds

Manchurian Apricot (Prunus armeniaca var. mandshurica) seed was collected from cold hardy, productive trees in a local orchard. Native to northeastern Asia, the species is adapted to cold climates and flowers early in spring.

The yellow to orange fruit measures about 3 to 5 cm and develops a light red blush. Its firm, juicy flesh is sweet with some tartness and is used fresh, canned, or dried. Manchurian Apricot is also used as apricot rootstock and as a pollinator for named apricot cultivars. Fruit ripens here in July.
