Wild Saskatoon - Serviceberry (Amelanchier alnifolia) - Tree Seeds - 40+ Seeds

Saskatoon (Amelanchier alnifolia), also called Serviceberry, Shadbush, or Juneberry, is a native shrub or small tree. This seed was collected locally from the forest around our nursery.

Plants usually remain under 15 to 20 ft and grow in partial shade or full sun, with heavier fruit production in sun. Purple fruit ripens here near the end of June and is eaten fresh or used for pies, wine, and jam. In good years, local plants carry large clusters that weigh down the branches.
