Jeanne is a gooseberry developed for improved disease resistance, especially to powdery mildew. Medium to large dark red to purple berries ripen in mid to late summer.
The sweet tart fruit is suited to fresh eating, jam, pies, and preserves. Thorny branches also provide wildlife cover.
