Common Juniper Seeds
Pack contains: 20+ seeds
Common Juniper (Juniperus communis) is an evergreen native across the northern hemisphere, including Canada. Depending on the form, it can grow as a low mat, an upright shrub, or a small tree. Its short sharp needles occur in whorls of three.
Female plants produce aromatic berry like cones that ripen from green to blue black. They are the traditional flavouring for gin and also feed wildlife. Common Juniper tolerates exposed sites, drought, and poor sandy or rocky soil.
