Large shady trees, common along city trees in our area. Often they grow fast and have a large trunk that divides in a vase shape to create a wide canopy.

Elm trees can get Dutch Elm Disease, a fungal disease spread by the elm bark beetle - so they're treated with fungicides here as a preventative measure. Do you research to make sure they're appropriate to grow in your area.
