Sea buckthorn is grown for tart, juicy berries used in juice and preserves. The species has separate male and female plants, with the females carrying the fruit and wind moving pollen between them.
These seedlings were recorded as thornless in our nursery. They may develop thorns as they mature, and their sex is not yet known. Growing several preserves the variation of a seedling population; fruit production requires both male and female plants.

These seedlings are unsexed. Fruit production needs a female and a male flowering at the same time; a group of seedlings does not guarantee both sexes.
- Pollmix Male Sea Buckthorn
A male option once your seedling is known to be female, provided their flowering overlaps.
