We have Altaiskaya Sea Buckthorn shrubs available, known for their hardiness and vibrant orange berries. This cultivar grows to a mature height of 10-15 feet, forming a dense, upright shrub with silvery-green, narrow leaves. In late summer to early fall, the female plants produce clusters of small, bright orange berries packed with vitamins and antioxidants. The berries are tart but are excellent for juicing, jams, and sauces.

Native to the Altai region of Russia, the Altaiskaya Sea Buckthorn thrives in full sun and is well-adapted to a variety of soil types, including poor or sandy soils. It is drought-resistant once established and is well-suited for cold climates, making it an ideal choice for Canadian gardens. This plant also helps prevent soil erosion and can improve soil quality due to its nitrogen-fixing roots.
