Öjebyn Black Currant is an old Swedish cultivar raised at Öjebyn in the 1940s and widely grown across northern Europe and Finland. Compact, upright bushes carry large clusters of glossy black fruit in mid to late summer. The berries have an aromatic sweet tart flavour suited to fresh eating, jam, jelly, and juice.
