Indian Currant, also called Coralberry or Waxberry (Symphoricarpos orbiculatus), is a dense, suckering shrub with small pink flowers and clusters of pink to purple-red fruit. The fruit ripens in fall, persists into winter, and provides food for wildlife.
Plants grow about 3-6 feet tall and can be maintained as a hedge or allowed to form a broad naturalized thicket. The blue-green foliage and persistent fruit provide a long season of interest.
