Indian Currant, also called Coralberry or Waxberry (Symphoricarpos orbiculatus), is a dense suckering shrub with clusters of pink to purple red fruit. The fruit ripens in fall, persists into winter, and feeds wildlife.
The shrub can be maintained as a hedge or allowed to form a broad naturalized thicket. Soak the seed in water for 24 hours before beginning the warm and cold stratification cycle.
