Crusader Black Currant

Crusader is a vigorous black currant with large berries. Its main practical distinction is pollination: it is not self fertile and needs another black currant variety flowering at the same time.

Minnesota Extension lists it for northern gardens but notes susceptibility to powdery mildew.
