Brianna Grape (Vitis labrusca x Vitis vinifera) - Green Grape - Zone 3
Brianna is an interspecific hybrid grape cultivar developed by Elmer Swenson in 1983. Its parentage includes traits from Vitis labrusca and Vitis riparia, bred specifically for cold climates. This resilient vine produces medium to large clusters of greenish-gold grapes that ripen in early to mid-September. Known for its tropical fruit flavors, especially pineapple, Brianna grapes are versatile for winemaking, fresh eating, or juice production.
Note in cold climate it's advisable to add some winter protection for young grape vines while the get established.
