Aurora is a popular U of S selection known for large elongated berries with a sweet and tart flavour often compared to blueberry, raspberry, and black currant. Shrubs grow about 4 to 6 feet tall and wide with an upright habit.
Fruit ripens in early summer, often a week or two after Tundra or Borealis. Plant with an early blooming partner for strong overlap. Good partners include Indigo Gem, Borealis, Tundra, or Honey Bee.
