Sweet Konrad is a new apple introduced by Alberta grower Konrad Ilg. A sweet apple with hardly any acid, large 2 1/2 - 3" fruit with red striping, good tasting. Ripens in mid September.

Apples need pollen from a different apple or crabapple to set fruit. A second variety in your yard will do it, and so will a neighbour's apple or fruiting crabapple. Double flowered ornamental crabapples make no pollen and do not count.
