The Norkent apple is a medium-sized yellow apple, striped or streaked with red, and sometimes very large, measuring up to 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Its flavor resembles an apple-pear and is sometimes compared to the Golden Delicious variety: sweet, almost caramelized, with little to no acidity. The skin is moderately thick, light green, streaked and washed with several shades of red. It matures in early to mid-September and is best for eating but also good for cooking. The Norkent apple is known for its aromatic, crisp, juicy, greenish-white flesh with hints of pear. It is hardy, grows well in cold climates, and stores well.

Norkent apples are excellent fresh eating. Apple-pear taste similar to Golden Delicious.  Yellow orange with red streaks. Ripens late August - mid September.  Stores well up to 14 weeks.
