Siberian Stone Pine (Pinus sibirica) - Pine Nuts

Siberian Stone Pine (Pinus sibirica) is a cold hardy five needle pine native to Siberia and northern Asia. It is closely related to Korean Stone Pine and produces large cones with edible pine nuts.

Trees grow 50 to 100 ft tall with a dense conical crown that broadens with age. The soft blue green needles occur in bundles of five. Siberian Stone Pine is slow growing and long lived and tolerates severe cold and poor soil.
