Northline Saskatoon

Northline produces sweet, deep blue purple saskatoons with comparatively uniform ripening, useful for fresh eating, pies and jam. Published fruit diameter is about ⅝ inch. It is a later cultivar and suckers freely, so it can fill out an edible hedge.

It is self fruitful. Plant in full sun and well drained soil, away from frost pockets. Manitoba’s northern fruit guide includes Northline among its recommended cultivars. TreeTime lists about 10 feet tall and 8 feet wide, although other nursery estimates are considerably larger.
