Mongolian Spruce Seeds

Mongolian Spruce (Picea mongolica) is a rare cold hardy conifer native to northern China and Mongolia. It develops a narrow conical form with short, stiff blue green needles and small reddish brown cones.

The species is adapted to dry, windy steppe and mountain conditions. It is little known in North America but has been used for shelterbelts and reforestation in cold, arid regions of Asia.
