Loving is a Russian pear selection with rounded, short necked fruit. Green skin develops a golden to reddish blush as it ripens, and the fruit has a mild sweet flavour with a little acidity. It is used fresh, for juice and for drying.

Harvest is generally listed for early to mid September. Pick as the seeds begin to brown and finish ripening after harvest. Another pear is needed for pollination; Krazulya and Golden Spice are specifically recommended partners and are part of our pear collection.

Our fall trees are grafted on Ussurian pear rootstock.

Cold Hardiness Zone: 3

Botanical name: Pyrus

Rootstock: Ussurian

Pollination: Requires another compatible pear; Krazulya and Golden Spice are published partners.
