Laxton's Giant is an old black currant cultivar introduced in England in 1946. Its very large juicy berries are often grown for exhibition because of their size.

The thin skinned berries grow in long clusters that are easy to harvest. Their mild sweet flavour suits fresh eating, juice, and baking.
