Cherry Prinsepia (Prinsepia sinensis) is an uncommon northern Chinese shrub related to plums and cherries. Its arching, thorny branches carry narrow, serrated leaves. Small round fruit ripens from red to purple and has a tart, cherry like flavour. Plants tolerate poor soil and drought once established.
