Sandcherry is a native bush or small shrub with large black cherry sized fruit.  It's one of the parents of the Black Nanking, and many of the Cherry plums.  Native to the Northern Great Plains, including Manitoba, Wyoming, Colorado, Minnesota, and Kansas. It typically grows 4 to 6 feet tall and wide with gray-green, finely toothed leaves that turn mahogany red in the fall. The fruit are purplish-black drupes around 1/2" in size, ripening in August.

Excellent rootstock for apricots, most of our stock is reserved for this next year.  These are large enough diameter to graft (1/4"+).
