Borage Seeds (Borago officinalis) - Zone 3 - 20+ Seeds

Borage (Borago officinalis), also called Starflower, is a bristly annual herb native to the Mediterranean. Plants reach 60 to 100 cm and flower from June into September, usually with blue star shaped blooms, although pink and white forms also occur.

The mildly sweet flowers are edible and provide nectar for bees. Borage reseeds readily in suitable gardens. Its seed is also a source of gamma linolenic acid used in borage oil.
