Rocky Mountain Iris (Iris missouriensis) - Zone 3 - 20+ Seeds

Perennial wild iris native to western North America. Plants grow 8 to 20 inches tall with slender blue green leaves. Flowers appear in late spring to early summer, usually pale to deep blue with darker veins, sometimes lavender or purple. Each stem carries 1 to 3 blooms. Found in meadows, stream banks, and open woods, often in moist soils but tolerant of drier conditions once established. Spreads slowly by rhizomes to form clumps. Attractive to pollinators and useful in naturalized or restoration plantings.
