Hinnomaki Red Gooseberry Seeds (Ribes uva-crispa) - Zone 3 - 50+ Seeds

Hinnomaki Red is a hardy Finnish gooseberry with sweet tart red fruit on compact, thorny plants. It ripens in mid July in southern Manitoba, with berries that can be picked over a period as they colour.

Seed grown gooseberries will vary from the parent plant, but this seed lot is a good starting point for hardy home orchard or nursery trial plants. Expect thorny, compact bushes with red fruit traits possible in the seedling population.

Cold stratify for 3 to 4 months before sowing.
