Hybrid developed by N. E. Hansen combining Japanese plum (Prunus salicina) and American plum (Prunus americana). It is vigorous, upright, densely branched, and very productive. The fruit is medium-large, bright red skin with juicy yellow flesh. Ripens in late season (September). Good fresh eating and also makes jam and jelly. Needs another compatible plum nearby to pollinate.
