Red Osier Dogwood is a cold hardy native shrub with bright red stems that stand out in winter. White summer berries feed birds, and green leaves turn reddish purple in fall.
The shrub is especially vigorous in wet or saturated soil but adapts to a wide range of sites. It is widely used for shelterbelts, erosion control, naturalizing, and wildlife habitat.
