Mountain Maple

Mountain maple is a bushy, small native North American maple suited to cool woodland edges. Upright clusters of greenish yellow flowers and paired winged seeds add seasonal interest, while autumn leaves can turn yellow, orange or red.

It generally reaches 10–25 feet tall and 10–20 feet wide. Choose a cool site with moist, well drained soil and some shade rather than a hot, exposed urban position.
