Wild Plum seedlings from a mixed orchard combine Canada Wild Plum and American Wild Plum ancestry. Open pollination produces variation, and many seedlings show subtle traits from both species.
These hardy trees can pollinate other plums and are also useful for wildlife plantings or as plum rootstock.
