Amur Maple (Acer ginnala) is a small to medium deciduous tree known for brilliant red fall colour. It can grow as a compact tree or multistem specimen.
The seed was collected locally. Seedlings will vary in form and fall colour and can be used for landscape, hedge, and shelter plantings.
Soak the seed in hot water, allow the water to cool, and leave it for 24 hours before stratification.

How to stratify seed
In the fridge. Put the seed in a bag with a damp medium such as peat moss, vermiculite, sand or coco coir. The medium is only there to hold moisture. Keep the bag in the fridge, above freezing, for the cold period shown, then sow.
Or outside. Sow the seed outdoors in the fall and let winter do the cold period.
