Skunk Currant (Ribes glandulosum)

Skunk Currant is a native species with incredible spikey fruit, an interesting low spreading form, and a subtle musky scent.  Native species are excellent to support wildlife and our native pollinators, and this one adds some real interest to a garden. 

Grows well in partial shade, likes moist conditions.  Resists most currant leaf diseases in northern climates. Use this native plant in the understory for restoration plantings and in native plant gardens.
