Cumin Seeds

Cumin (Cuminum cyminum) is an ancient culinary herb grown for its small aromatic seed. Native to regions from the eastern Mediterranean into South Asia, cumin has been used in food for centuries.

The slender branching plants carry feathery leaves, followed by seed that turns brown when ripe. Cumin needs about three to four months of warm weather to mature, which can make it a challenging outdoor crop in short Canadian summers.

Annual
