Red silver buffaloberry fruit

red silver buffaloberry, bushes are just loaded with fruit and ripe this week. the bunches are protected by sharp thornes, very similar morphology to sea buckthorn. I collect them with gloves and a box held at chest height with a strap, it makes for easy two handed picking and the fruit can just fall into the box. they've a bit easier to pick than some sea buckthorn, and here around this old pasture they just thrive without any pruning, the patches just grow every year though their rhizomes. Sometimes a bush has yellow fruit, so I collect them both for seed.
