Ohio Buckeye

Ohio buckeye is a rounded shade tree with large, palmately divided leaves and yellow to greenish yellow spring flowers. It typically grows 20–40 feet tall and wide, with low branches and dense foliage. Autumn colour varies among seedlings.

Give it moist, well drained soil in sun or partial shade. Drought and leaf scorch can affect appearance, and the developing taproot makes later transplanting difficult. This is an ornamental tree: the seeds are poisonous and are not edible chestnuts.
