Mugo Pine (Pinus mugo) - Zone 2/3 - 40+ Seeds

Mugo pine is easy to recognize with its low growing spreading shape. Hardy evergreen shrub native to the mountains of central and southern Europe. It naturally grows as a low spreading pine but many forms are available from dwarf compact shrubs to small trees. Needles are dark green, two per bundle, and dense along the branches. Very adaptable to poor soils, wind, and cold climates which makes it useful for exposed sites, rock gardens, and low shelter plantings. Slow growing and long lived with little maintenance once established.
