collecting caragana seeds yesterday. They ripen unevenly, so some pods were green, others were popped open and empty, the rest were tan brown and ripe. Siberian pea shrub is easy to grow from seed, no stratification needed and you can have 3 ft seedlings after a few months. They’re usually grown as a hedge, but if pruned as a single small tree they can look very attractive.

Le Caragana ou Peashrub de Sibérie est un grand arbuste à petites feuilles et à fleurs jaunes comestibles. Généralement taillé en haie. C'est un fixateur d'azote. Fournit de la nourriture aux oiseaux et aux petits animaux, ainsi qu'aux cerfs.

Stockage : Conserver dans un endroit frais et sec
Instructions de plantation : faites tremper les graines dans l'eau pendant 24 heures et plantez-les dans des lits de semences ou des pots préparés. Vous pouvez planter à l'automne pour de meilleurs résultats ou planter au printemps. Semez à 1/4 - 1/2" de profondeur et couvrez de paillis.
