upright prairie coneflower, a bed of them here among our stock currants, planted last year. some of the work to collect wildflower seed takes me to places where I might only find it once, so there's some ongoing work to grow out the seed I find or bring in and keep some of the plants to plant in the nursery, to enjoy them but also to produce next year's seed crop, etc.
