Rooting tomato clones under mist

tomato clones, trying something new. I know they'll root on our softwood bench, the timed mist roots a tomato no problem. and starting with a cutting is a bit faster than a seed. the project is to collect one from each of the new cultivars in our tomato rows and get it growing under lights as a single truss plant. why do this? we're 3 weeks from first frost. I can cover up the rows and run a sprinkler, which can save them from a few light frosts if I'm lucky, but it's still a short season. and I enjoy having some plants to grow inside, in fact growing very pruned small tomato's seems to be a productive way to grow them, it's kind of fun. and I'm already doing this unconventionally, there is one hundred cultivars in these isolation rows to supply our seed shop. a collection of the most interesting and unique ones I have found. everything from old heirlooms tomatoes to modern ones with fun names. by trying new growing methods, I'm keeping it interesting, I was tieing up some with bonsai wire the other day, can tomato be bonsai? ;)
