thinking about nursery stock and what to ship in the fall

thinking about nursery stock and what to ship in the fall. currants and haskaps I think are fine, the leaves should handle shipping. a plum, or walnut I think could ship but only once the leaves are yellow and I would trim them, semi-dormant. anyone else have experience with fall shipped plants like that? I'm talking plants in pots or plugs.
