Tiben is a Polish black currant bred from Titania and Ben Nevis and entered on the Polish National List in 2000. Trials describe high yield potential, medium berries in long dense clusters, and medium to high soluble solids.
The fruit ripens late to medium late. It is resistant to powdery mildew and leaf spot.

Bred in Poland
Tiben was bred at the Research Institute of Pomology in Skierniewice, Poland, from a 1987 cross of Titania and Ben Nevis. It joined the Polish national list in 2000 and is grown for heavy crops. Currants usually begin to fruit one to three years after planting.
