Sandbar Willow is a native North American shrub or small tree found along riverbanks, wetlands, and sandbars. Smaller than most willows, it forms spreading stands.
It is adapted to moist or wet soil and is useful for stabilizing streambanks, naturalizing wet areas, and supporting wildlife.
