Rocky Mountain Iris (Iris missouriensis) is a western North American perennial with slender blue green leaves. Plants reach 8 to 20 inches and carry one to three pale blue, deep blue, lavender, or purple flowers per stem from late spring into early summer.

The species grows in meadows, streambanks, and open woods. It favours moist soil but tolerates drier conditions once established and spreads gradually by rhizomes.
