Rescue Apple Tree

Rescue is a hardy crab apple from Alberta in the 1930s using Malus baccata Siberian crab and domestic apple. Small yellow fruit washed red orange, crisp fine white flesh mildly sweet with low bitterness; excellent fresh juiced or in jelly. Ripens mid to late August and does not store long. Moderate scab and fire blight susceptibility typical of crab hybrids.
