Mirabelles are small European plums traditionally prized for intensely flavoured yellow fruit. They belong within the European plum complex, commonly treated as the mirabelle group of Prunus domestica. This tree is sold as a group selection rather than as a named Mirabelle cultivar.

Mirabelle fruit is used fresh and for preserves, baking and traditional plum products. Fruit colour, exact harvest date and self fertility can vary among selections, so a compatible European plum flowering nearby is the prudent pollination plan while this stock is evaluated.

Our fall tree is grafted on Mustang rootstock.

Cold Hardiness Zone: 3

Botanical name: Prunus domestica subsp. syriaca

What mirabelle means

Mirabelle describes a group within the European plum complex rather than one single cultivar. This stock is therefore listed honestly at group level.
