haskap upick, old bushes and gallons of fruit. here I'm at the riverbend orchard in Portage la Prairie MB at the end of July. This was right at the tail end of the haskap season, and the bushes we were picking that day were some of the larger older ones at the back, I think based on the info published about the farm's establishment these would be about sixteen years old, and they look all of that based on the stems and they're about five ft tall and round in these long rows. At some point they would benefit from renewal pruning, but they seemed productive.
