Red Rise is a cold hardy red dessert apple of prairie origin with limited published data. Medium red or red over yellow fruit, crisp juicy flesh with balanced sweet tart flavor; ripens mid season in late August to early September. Disease resistance not documented; grown as a reliable all purpose apple in cold sites.
