Red Currant (Ribes rubrum) - Berry Bush - Zone 3 - 100+ Seeds
Red currant (Ribes rubrum) is a shrub with clusters of bright red berries, it's related to the black currant. These berries are about 0.5 - 1 cm in diameter, and the flavour is different from black currants, it could be described as tangy with a bit of tartness, perfect for jams, jellies, sauces, and desserts. The bushes are hardy and can be shade tolerant, though you'll get a better crop of fruit in full sun. They're native to Europe, red currants have been cultivated since the 17th century. When you grow them from seed you'll get plants some genetic variation and they'll be to the similar to the parent, these are seeds from Red Lake which is a popular cultivar
