Wild Licorice (Glycyrrhiza lepidota) is a native perennial with woody edible roots that have a licorice flavour. This seed was collected from plants growing in the forest around Oak Summit Nursery.
The plants fix nitrogen and produce brown pods covered with long hooked prickles.
Soak the seed in water for 24 hours before sowing.
